Forest path

Had a discovery walk through the forest... wooden figures and animals are shown there, lots of water sources and a beautiful path to stroll along. 

Max found many things to watch and touch and enjoyed the freedom to move unlimited. Lina was tired and hungry... so just a few minutes in the pram and then cuddling in the sling! Although she is so big already I love to carry her! She is so smooth then and my heart is melting when my girl looks up to my face smiling at me with her lips and her eyes. Babywearing is just the best!

Stroll

Because omi is very busy at present there are not many hours or days we spend together. But this morning we took the children and went for a walk. It was wonderful...

Being outside with Max is exciting... he is fascinated by the smallest things like ants, bugs, butterflies or little snails, then smiling, giggling and chattering all the time... he is so cute I could eat him!

Miss Lina was sitting in the pram, observing everything and was simply... sweet!

  

Porsche

Daddy and Max are both crazy for cars. So it´s clear that we have to check out every car museum near our home. But Lina was happy to be there as well... had great fun crawling and walking around... and the best fun and relaxing time we all had afterwards in the cutest little cafe next to the museum.

 

Such a perfect time we had together... these family trips are so great! The kids enjoy them a lot, are very good, are balanced and even sleep much better. I think this change of scenery is important and has a positive impact on everybody!

So... next trip tomorrow! Hooray!

Music

I´m very happy about my hubby´s musical talent. The children love him to make music for them... he is playing the harmonica and the kids make some noise... and mama is singing. I really hope Max and Lina will be interested in making good music as well!?

A few weeks ago we got a piano as well but I forgot to take a pic... I´m going to post one the next time!

Eagles

En route again... visited an old ruin this evening on which birds of prey show air shows. Unfortunately Max was on nap strike again and so he was tired like crazy and hyped.

But... running around wildly while being watched by birds of prey is not the best idea! Ha!

The view from up there is so wonderful!

This little hawk girl was such a beauty. She observed us exactly... and I had to take care that Max didn´t touch her because these birds really don´t like that. My boy was so very fascinated.

11 months

First I wanted to write an extensive post about Miss Lina´s new skills. But due to the fact that my little doll turns one! next month and she gets a special birthday post... I´m just going to document our today´s delights!

Lina is so very well walking. Her first steps improve every single day. It´s so cute seeing her wiggling around.

 My darling, we are incredibly proud of you!

Monkeys

In the afternoon we went out for dinner.

Afterwards we visited our local monkey mountain. About 150 japanese macaques live there in a huge terrain with playareas, lakes and many, many trees. 

This was such a sweet monkey mama... nursing her little babygirl who she is loving so much and overprotecting because of the tragic loss of her first baby one year ago. Now her depression is healing and she is feeling better. Isn´t this lovely!?

 

Max was astonished by those funny animals and even Missy told unceasingly "dada!". To see their amazed faces was too cute!

I so love being together with you my sweeties!

Haven

This place is such a treasure. Fortunately it´s very close to our home and so we go there... not often enough!

Yesterday we had our family shoot there for babygirl´s first birthday on 26th of august. Max was so rapturous about this park... running up and down, there and back. Because we had too little time yesterday to stroll through the garden we decided to go there again this afternoon. 

The pictures we got today are adorable! Both children were enthusiastic and just didn´t want to leave... because we found this little pond out of a thermal source containing goldfish and turtles. The animals were so so cute and we spent there over an hour.

Family portraits

Went to the beautiful park this late afternoon where we already got taken our baby bump pictures with little Lina. The photographer is a friend who is incredibly talented. The bump pics taken by him are such a treasure for me!

This one is showing my pregnant belly with my little son Max. They were taken in the studio because we had cold weather outside....

.... and here is my babygirl still indside and the pics taken in this beautiful garden where we went today!

This evening we had a lovely shooting for babygirl´s first birthday!

Both children had best mood and were very easy to handle. So the result are adorable photos from the four of us. Unfortunately we have to wait some days to get them...

The next bookworm

When Max was about Lina´s age he wasn´t patient enough or very interested in looking at books. He was too busy throwing them away or just eating them. Fortunately he changed and is now very amazed by books and reading. Of course he has some favorites I´m going to post the next time.

Quite different Miss Lina... she is already browsing through the books like a toddler and turning the pages so maturely. It´s funny observing her when she discovered something special that caught her and she takes a closer look then.

Max had another nap stike day and so we all were very lucky to have uncle and aunt for visitors. They were playing so patiently with the children and especially aunt K. is able to keep Max occupied so that he is not annoying because of his fatigue.

Peas

Even if both my children are not the best eater ever... naturally except nursing... they love to pick out their food. So things like corn or peas, grapes or raisins are favorites.

Today I prepared some yummy mash ;-) for Miss L. and funnily she refused... but spent lots of time on picking peas out of my plate.

So daddy could not help but take a pic...

Step

A wonderful milestone my babygirl reached this day... she made her very first step! Check out this little sweetheart... I was sooo glad I caught this moment!

New toys

I often think about and remind myself not to spoil my children with stuff. But this is indeed very difficult. When we go shopping together we buy something for our little ones almost every time. Max is totally keen on little cars and tractors, books or kids´ journals.... and not to put Lina at a disadvantage we take something for her as well.

I think we should rethink our habit of fulfilling every wish. Sure, at present Max is the meant person but Lina will follow very soon!

Practice

Lina is doing this standing thing all day long. She is constantly straightening herself up onto her feet just to see if she is able to hold the balance a few seconds longer this time.

Then she is flopping down on her bottom, searching for mama´s face and smiling brightly... *Did you see mama what I can?* Something sooo cute I have no words for!

Alone!

Max´s search and strong demands for independence is a challenge. But I think we all made big progresses to support his wishes. We try to ask him if we are allowed to do this or that for him or if he wants to do alone. 

Since then he is much more relaxed... maybe because of the feeling of being taken seriously!?

So he is now making his care as good as possible on his own... and he is doing a great job! 

Oh, I love you so Honey... best son ever!

Relax

Just a comfy day outside... my loved ones snuggled on our new lounge and played in the garden. Seems like there come up times when both children start to occupy themselves perfectly and mama can finally sit and observe... how great!

Auntie

Today the family came over to visit the children and to play with them. Max had so much fun in the sand with his uncle and omi...

  ... and Missy cuddled with aunt K. and enjoyed this so very much. Both children love her quiet character and her calm way to play with them.

In the evening Max tried out the new shower in our garden. He did the evening care together with daddy outside. Afterwards he ran naked through the garden to cut the lawn with his red mower... it was a bit windy and fresh but he totally refused putting on his bathrobe.
