Party Part IV

Today we had the real birthday party... the one we had to postpone because of the massive rainfalls on sunday. Our wonderful friends came and spent hours of fun with us. I´m so grateful for our friends... they are so lovely and have just as lovely children. Max and Lina like to play with them a lot! Although there were many children we never had problems because they all get along so well!

I was clever this time to ask my brother in law to take pictures and so I could enjoy the whole days much more. He took pictures every day and so we have several hundred of Lina`s birthday. I´m more than happy about the wonderful documetation of delights!

This was an awesome day I am really thankful for... and I thank all my family and my friends who helped me to make Lina´s first birthday so very special.

My mama supported me the very whole week... although she had days off she worked so very hard for me. She did my household and laundry, took care for Max and Lina and helped whereever she could and I needed her. She is my greatest helper. I love you incredibly!

My mother in law helped me with the cake, Florian and Michael took the most wonderful pictures and together with my girlfriends and the children it all turned out more than perfect!

I´m very happy to have you all...  Thanks for sharing the day with us!

Party Part III

The family came over to celebrate with us. The children love these visits a lot... especially because they are best entertained then.

Fortunately we have the wonderful weather back, although it started to become a bit autumnal. But this is even better because sitting in the backyard and playing in the garden is more fun now than in the summer heat. Max and Lina were really good and were so much laughing and giggling... this makes my heart sing!

She is so beautiful... I could eat her!

Oh my... no words necessary!

This boy is the best brother in the whole wide world. Max is so lovingly to Lina... I simply love to observe their attachment. This is love!

Max is one lucky boy to have wonderful uncles and aunt K. who are playing with him a lot and trying to compensate that Missy is unequivocally becoming more attention these days. But like mentioned... he is doing great!

On the one hand these birthday meetings degenerated into an event... it wasn´t just a simple first birthday... and it was in some extent exhausting ;-) But on the other hand we enjoy it a lot to get lovely visitors every day. Our best friends and family take the time to come over, bring lovely gifts for our children and celebrate with us. 

I love the thought that my children will have these memories documented forever and will always be able to see and read how much they are loved!

The late evening and night turned out incredibly hard because I had to prepare a yummy salad and a beautiful cake for my beautiful girl. I decided to make a number "1" cake with caterpillar decoration (my mother in law was so very, very kind and supportive to make thses little figures for Lina´s cake... Thank you a lot dear mama in law!)

I´m going to post the different layers of the salad and the cake in Lina´s extensive birthday posts. First I wanted to write the posts this weekend but we are abroad. So I will catch up as soon as possible...

Party Part Two

Made some yummy "Caterpillar muffins" this morning to welcome our afternoon visitors. It was a lovely meeting with friends and the children had entertainment. Max and Lina were very tired because of the fuss for several days now...

So we decided to go on holiday on friday when all celebrations are over. We go to Italy to relax and have family time... This will be awesome, hooray!

Since my boy was born I especially love taking pictures of milestones and pictures you can follow the children´s growth and changes. Of course I do the same for Miss Lina...

This is my new little daughter on the day she was born... covered in the cosy pink blanket... can´t believe how tiny she was!?

This is Lina today... covered in the same pink blanket... playing peekaboo with mama just to keep her in a good mood to get a sweet pic... nevertheless she had no intention to look into the camera...

 

Before bathtime we made footprints again. Making them with Max is already funny and easy. He loves choosing the colour, the colour on his hands and feet and watching the prints on the white paper. He is a helper and cooperates perfectly...

... not so easy with my little one... but we did quickly... and so we got beautiful ones of Lina as well!

My Babygirl´s Very First Birthday

One little candle, one little cake

one little birthday to celebrate!

I just cannot believe... my Lina turned one today! 

 Baby, you are the most enchanting girl...

you bring so much fun and joy to our lives! 

We love, love, love you!

We celebrated a wonderful "Very Hungry Caterpillar" Party today. It was so much fun, the children enjoyed the day and had lots of fun, our family and friends enjoyed the party as well... and so it was a lovely first birthday!

Lina is such a big girl already... it was so cute to see how funnily she strolled through the flat with her new doll´s pram... fortunately she has four now :-)

Max was a bit overexcited... I think he recognized that Miss L. was the little star today. Of course we tried to entertain and caress him as much as possible... nevertheless he was hyped, but in a sweet way! ... he could not help but tear open most of his sister´s presents :-) Anyway... she did not mind!

My perfect children...  we had a wonderful, wonderful day... you both are the greatest little people in the world... we love you more than words can say!

I´m going to publish special birthday posts for my daughter about her latest accomplishments and a special post about her party and it´s decoration. But our birthday marathon is not finished yet... it goes on the whole week... so check the "Caterpillar posts" out on coming weekend!

Due date

It´s nearly 23.00... one year ago my labor began at this time and what I got 2,5 hours later was the most beautiful babygirl in the world! 

 Look at her... she was wearing the same dress today... as a shirt, ha!

Today I was the whole day busy with the last birthday preps for tomorrow. Now we have a yummy layers salad, a beautiful cake, adorable decoration, tons of cutly wrapped gifts and a lot of anticipation... with teary eyes as well!

Oh my... my Lina turns one... just cannot believe! Nevertheless... looking forward to tomorrow´s party and I´m sure this day is going to turn out awesome!

Birthday preparations

Max helped builing up a children´s bench. He was so busy with screwdriver and allen key... sitting on the terrace in the heat... no whining... just working... You are too cute, my sweet Max!

Carrots

Lina loves to sit in her highchair and eat independently. When I try to feed her, she pushes everything out straightly... just before she knew what I gave her. So I started to put everything in front of her. Lina looks at the solids and then she starts to eat... enthusiastically!

Fatigue

There´s really lots of work for mama at present. Birthday preparations for Miss L., different posts to write, work at home, my two little rascals... and by the way mama is in a bad physical condition.

So my daily posts will turn out short for a while...

This is the only picture I got today of sweet Max....

Lina is crawling onto everything. She is climbing on chairs, the sofa and especially onto Max´ bed. Then she is sitting on his bed and reading his books and papers...

Visitors

My husband´s aunt is coming for regular visits to Austria. She is living in Paris. When she is here she likes to visit our children. Aunt D. took her nephew with her, Eliah. Max was very happy because playing with E. is indeed much fun... he is a lovely boy, calm and beautiful.

So the children had a good morning playing and being entertained... and that´s great!

Isn´t this a handsome boy... and he is treating Max and Lina so lovingly... wonderful!

Of course... a new car for my boy from auntie...

Shopping

My little boy loves fruits and vegetables but unfortunately we don´t have any good ones in our shops to buy at present. So omi and I decided to go to Italy today. 

It was an incredibly hot day but it was good to walk along there because there was enough shadow... and the children were so very good to handle. Lina wanted to stay in the sling after nursing and so Max could relax a bit in the pram even though he never ever sits in a stroller any more... but shopping in the heat is far too exhausting! Lovely boy!

It was a successful day... we bought wonderful fruits and italian snacks. Doesn´t this look yummy? Hope to go there as soon as possible again!
