Decoration

Set up every christmassy stuff I have. Now the house looks sooo romantic and cosy! This is definitely the most beautiful time of the year. My babies had greatest fun looking at the different things and of course... trying out most of them.

Although it was more exhausting than the years before... it was so much more fun and wonderful, too! I love doing such traditional things with my darlings. Everything is ready now for the 1st of December and opening the first door of the Advent´s calendar... and for the first Advent on sunday. We are all looking forward to this special weekend!

The only thing... I totally forgot taking the pics of the day. Just got them in the evening before bedtime... 

Hmmm? What car to take to bed? Most difficult question before going to sleep!

Christmas pics

Got our christmas family portraits taken today by our friend Michael. He is a wonderful photographer and extra-patient... this is indeed helpful when shooting with a 3 and 1 year old, haha!
Fortunately our babies were awesome and very cooperative. So the pics turned out beautiful... I love them!

Diver

Miss Lina had a hard swimming lesson today. It was the day, professional diving pictures should be taken.

But when she saw the photographer with his diving mask and snorkel, she cried endlessly. I felt so very sorry for her. The only thing I could do was to keep her close to my chest and sing into her ear. This made her calm down. Sometimes I moved thoughtlessly and the photographer was in sight again... and she was upset again.

So how could we get the pic?

I held her close, singing tirelessly and creeping up to the camera with the back. Then the photographer disappeared and let a ball bob up to show he was ready. I gave Lina to daddy and they did... an awesome job! 
I simply LOVE their underwater pic! I decided not to go on the pic because I tried to dive a few times before and it felt... horrible. Water running into my nose and down my throat, my eyes burning and my nerves fluttering. So, not to ruin the photo with the lovely diving princess, I let it up to daddy and daughter. Good decision... they look adorable!

I put on the pic very soon... just ordered it online...

The remaining lesson was not very productive any more. Lina was sensitive and I did not want her to endure. I continued holding her and singing into her ear and we played.
After everybody was gone we stayed a bit longer and we were alone in the big pool... fantastic... 

Max was incredible again. Having on his arm floats and playing on a bench in the water until we had time for him again. I had never thought that he would ever be so patient and would love being in the water so much. He was observing and giggling and commenting... I could squish my adorable boy! Thank you so much for being so good, Max! I love you very, very much!

15 months

Time flies by. Sure, I´m concious about the fact that time has to go by to get growth, progress and change. But why has it to go that fast? Feels like Lina´s birthday was just a few days ago... it´s incredible how much she has changed again since then. Yes, I know, I write this every single month but it´s true. 

Her way to move, to run, to sit, to climb is so very toddlerlike... and funny. She loves being in movement and is so very skillful in addition. She is climbing onto everything, preferably the table and strolling along there. Oh my heart...

Lina grew into a wonderful eater. I never thought she would ever be so uncomplicated concerning food. Trying out everything, preferring solids taken on her own and slipping away large amounts. Such a fun to give her food!

The sleep improved incredibly. My princess had several nights now when she was sleeping up to 9 hours in a row although she still is a passionate breastfeeder. Normally she used to wake up every one or two hours to drink or just to cuddle with the boobs for a while. Such a relief to get so much sleep now!

Lina and Max started recently to play together quite much. Of course... mostly the girl is too rough and destroying a lot and the boy gets impatient and angry then. But even these situations are becoming easier. Lina is much more robust and better standing his offenses. Little Lina is a good actress by the way... she knows exactly that somebody is looking at her at once when she starts to cry or just whines. Fortunately we recognized soon that Max sometimes is not even near! Cheeky monkey!

Oh how lucky you are my precious daughter to have the best and most loving brother ever!

He so loves showing everything to her and instructing his sister! My co-educator!

Kindergarten again

We are midst playschool tour. Every week another one to visit, indicating data and getting informations. Max is totally thrilled when I tell him in the morning to go and meet other children to play with in the afternoon. Funnily... when we arrive, he is not very keen on getting in contact with the kids but is tirelessly searching for cars and new interesting toys. Hmm? Hope for a change within the next months!

I really liked the toys there and totally admired the crafts. These groups are so creative and making such lovely stuff. I´m looking forward to getting the most beautiful gifts from my sweet boy soon!

Happy birthday, great-grandmother!

Had a lovely and cosy sunday together. Mama made some yummy baked apples and in the late afternoon we were invited to celebrate granny´s 80th birthday. 

Omi suggested to let Max and Lina with her so hubby and I could spend some childfree time together... and have coffee and cake without distraction!

This was a real good idea and time out was indeed very relaxing... fortunately omi told us, being together with the kids was not exhausting at all. They really begin playing together so lovingly. Like this I found them in the morning...

Wonderful weekend again!

Advent

Spent hours strolling through the christmas market in our town. This was such a romantic and wonderful time the four of us together!

Max was hurdling from one showplace to the other and Lina was watching at all out of her pram and sleeping for quite a while in the meantime. Sometimes I wish we could be out and about even more often because the children are having the greatest fun then, are easiest to have and give us the biggest delights when watching their faces! Sooo nice!

Lina was not very keen on standing still and letting mama take a pic of daddy and princess... so a short wail...

... because all the time she was looking like this!

Everyone got free tea at the ice rink. I decided to take some pics there the next time because there were millions of people and by the way... I want a photo be taken when everything is illuminated!

We all are looking forward to go there again as soon as possible because we couldn´t visit all places, for example the petting zoo! Fortunately we are living only 10 minutes from there so you can imagine that we often go there.

I´m very happy about this day because... just not to forget... it´s Christmas Eve in one teeny tiny month today! Ooohhh... I´m so excited! Just in case I did not mention yet: I LOVE CHRISTMAS! ... and since there are two little darlings who brighten up our lives, I love it even more!

Growth spurt

That´s the way daddy found Lina in the morning in the cot... sleeping bag already removed since the little lady learned how to open a zip... and then running around until her little feet became too cold!

Together

Daddy did the swimming lesson with Miss L. today. Doing the exercises, the singing and group works... and the preparations for the weekly diving part.

They were such a great team and I think Lina found it quite interesting and fascinating that daddy was joining her while diving... mama is not very keen on doing this with her. I know... shame on me! Submerging her in the water but totally refusing to do the same, haha!

Mama was taking tons of photos and videos while babygirl and papa were doing so so good and my boy was waiting, observing and playing in the water like a big boy! He was proudly commenting little sister´s swimming performance and smiling at her!

Now knowing that he is so amazingly behaving, waiting and perserving I decided to take him with me the other times as well.

 

Afterwards we all were staying a bit longer... mama splashing with the kids and daddy trying out the slides in the new swimming baths.

Of course... the babies were pretty hungry then...

This family time was greatest fun and biggest delight. We were so happy that daddy could join us... we were so happy about the fact that he tried everything to be able to come with us! He is such a darling...
