Out with daddy

Daddy invited us for lunch today. We went to the nearby restaurant and had a yummy meal... Schnitzel with french fries. Max loves it! He was eating at the table without running away and that means a lot.

Miss L. enjoyed the meal as well... in the arms of mama and papa. She was a real good girl... patient and looking around curiously!

Afterwards we strolled through a furniture store... picked up the new hudge carpet for Max´ room and played for a while in the children´s department. 

Max is already familiar with the surroundings because we come round very often. I like shopping there... they have lovely toys, clothes, bed linen and stuff like that.

While I´m looking around my boy takes place at the seating for kid´s and starts to play with the little cars and crayons on the table... without drawing... he doesn´t like to without mama. 

We had a great afternoon together... I love you babes

My Beautiful Baby

I know that it´s up to every mother that she thinks about her baby to be the most beautiful. So do I. 

Sure I like to dress my little Miss L. in the cutest dresses and tutus and in fact... she has more clothes than days to wear them all... but oh... how I love her to be naked. She has the most silky skin and her smell is addictive!

One very special point about my favorites on her perfect body are her feet. They are so tiny and cute. Lina has discovered them too. Every time she is doing gymnastics on the back she leads or tries to lead them to her mouth. Miss L. is very supple so there is no great difficulty to suck the big toe. 

Of course... mama took incredibly adorable pictures from lovely Miss Lina! I love you sunshine!

My Beautiful Toddler

Max is talking nearly every word at present. Sometimes he mixes up the words in german and english. This is too cute. But my clever boy decides which word is more simple to express in the respective language. So for example it´s much more simple to say "spoon" than "Löffel"... haha!

I´m sure he often doesn´t know that he is talking in english. So for example he always says "bus", "blue" or "apple". I love this!

I try to teach him " I love you". I´m looking forward to hearing that. My heart will melt... I´m sure!

I´m so proud of you my boy!

Sweets

Yes... it´s amazing but my boy loves sweets! After having eaten his meals he is nearly always asking for some "dessert". Mostly he gets some, a little dextrose lollipop or some chocolate candy! Hope this is no prime example for bad parenting?  Especially when he is watching videos on the i-pad as well.

Nevertheless I let him enjoy... and observe him being so content!

I love the pic from today. He is eating his dextrose and reading his christmas stories in the meantime. He loves the book, he got from omi, so much and wants mama to sing the songs even now. 

You are so gorgeous little boy... you really don´t need much to be perfectly happy!

Coffee cup

Lina was dabbling with a coffee cup for a long time today. Max gave it to her and she was fascinated indeed. I love it when she is holding her toys and stuff so skillfully. 

She looks like a real big girl, interested in everthing! You are heartwarming my sweetie!

 

By the way... I´m sooo happy we booked our summer holidays with friends today. I´m really looking forward to the beach and sea pictures and the great time together with my family.

Told Max about our plans, about the sea, the things we are going to see there and what we are going to do there.  We were searching for his book with the summer and beach stories at once and guess what Max is most of all waiting for... exactly... the ice cream!

Sports on tv

Max and daddy were watching wintersports on tv this morning. My boy is so much interested and enthusiastic that he even keeps his fingers crossed for our national heros. I´m not very happy seeing him in front of the tv but when this results in such a cute picture...? 

Honey, your fingers are too much ;-) I love you!

Miss L. was playing and talking to mama in the meantime. My beautiful girl, I adore you!

Snow at last

In the afternoon - after sleeping and eating - we decided to go sleigh riding. Waiting for snow for weeks now it finally started being winterly on friday. The temperatures are darn cold and we enjoyed a bit of snowfall. 

Max wasn´t really pleased because of the cold and he still hates gloves! So his sweet little fingers were frozen in minutes and he could´t hold the rope for the sledge. Due to this we didn´t go far from our house... we stayed in our driveway. Just for half an hour then returned to the warm living room!

Lina didn´t mind the frosty winterday, she fell asleep at once.

So the day outside ended quickly... inside!

We had a great weekend together... unfortunately it´s over too fast!

Working with papa

It´s fascinating how much Max is interested in home working. He loves the screwdrivers, screws, dowels... special love for the drill press... the level, the nails and the hammer. He is handling so skillfully like some adult is not able to do... I´m sure ;-)

So today he is mounting and hanging up the curtains in his and Lina´s new rooms. My clever boy hands daddy the required stuff and is so proud being told how helpful his support is.

Miss L. is observing and moving like a worm on the puzzle mat. 

Favorite activity

Lina is definitely addicted to breastfeeding. And I love it! Happily we are doing the laid back nursing for very long. Some people cannot really understand why I decided to do this. But I`m convinced to do the very best for my babies this way. So I don´t care what other people say.  

Max is my best evidence that my decision is right. Right from beginning I did all the old-fashioned stuff: practiced breastfeeding for a rather long time, I carried my boy, we did co-sleeping, cuddled and kissed him continuously. Therefore I´m sure a special love exists between us and his perfect character underlies these facts.

He is such a relaxed, balanced and clever child. Outbursts of rage and other explosions are extremly rare and short. Max is attentive, patient and has an incredibly endurance with everything he starts.

So I could not help to do it the same way with my little girl. Due to the fact that there is a little boy with 2 and mama cannot split up, Lina has to be patient. Fortunately she is! So for us is breastfeeding time a special time we share without interruption... almost always :-)

In contrast to Max she does not easily fall asleep while drinking. But today she did and that´s my shot of the day!

Going to have a magnificent weekend with my loved ones.... it started grandly!

Visit

In the afternoon we had familiy visitors. Omi Irmi came over, uncle Mike and auntie Kate too. Max was euphoric and distributed kisses at once without habituation time. I think he appreciates alternations a lot. He played together with uncle and auntie while mama was preparing tea and donuts. I heard lots of joy!

Later on he changed to his favorite play... peekaboo. I could watch him doing this for hours... and his face is never cuter than when he is surprised and laughes out loud! Perfect!

Unhappily Lina was mournful and I felt so sorry for her because I could hardly solace her. Her fear is so pitiful. Hope this will improve soon! You touch my heart so much when you are sad!

Evening care is such a great time. I love it!

My little girl is in one special point exactly like mama. She loves being bathed, massaged and spoiled. Like once mentioned she is sitting in the bath tub with her brother.

Max is soaping and rinsing her. These are really cute and lasting memories! They are so good to each other. Max is so lovingly to her and she appreciates this so much and is always smiling back.

The love between them is adorable... how wonderful the two siblings!

Monotony

We definitely need some variety. The weather outside is horrible, horribly cold. Is even no fun to go for walks. So we stay at home and make our everyday stuff. Playing, eating, sleeping, cleaning up and starting from scratch. This is not my taste at all!

Happily my children are totally relaxed. They have fortunately everything they need. No adventure is necessary to make them content. Different from me!

Oh how I wish there was warm weather, sunshine, possibility to go barefoot, time for icecream, suntan cream....I will think about something we can start to kill monotony!?

So our day was like that:

While I was hoovering, cleaning up the ground floor and doing the laundry, Max was dealing with the i-pad. He loves this thing so much. Highly concentrated he is searching for videos from tractors like John Deere, McCormick, New Holland... cars like Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini and all the other wonderful loud vehicles. 

My boy is managing everything on his own. Don´t worry... we have stored the appropriate videos :-)

So my clever sweetheart is searching for the next interesting input, adjusting the volume or getting the snacks... prefered raisins and nuts... alone!

In the evening he was playing together with daddy and building a house with blocks. Only way distracting him from this attractive i-tool. 

Lina was joining them. Laughing, observing and doing gymnastics. She is too cute!

While mama took this pic my little lady was flirting with omi. She is always satisfied when she is looking around seeing her loved ones, after napping, when the diaper is dry and after breastfeeding! Incredibly easy to handle.
