Summer festival

Max´ friend Mia had her birthday party today. Actually her birthday is in october but we have fresh autumn then and so we celebrated already today to be outside with all children.

This was so much fun... many, many possibilities for the little ones to play... swimming pool, bouncy castle, toys and everything in a beautiful garden. Max liked the pool very much even though he is always extremely cautious with water. He liked to sit on the ladder, holding his feet into the pool and splashing water out with his hands. But when daddy took him inside he wasn´t amused at all. Max nearly squished him because of tenseness... but of course there were fun moments as well ;-)

So did Miss L... daddy held her close to his chest but Lina was a bit too afraid of the water. I hope this is going to change because I don´t want my children to be as afraid of water as I am.

So we had a wonderful time together with our friends and the children enjoyed it a lot!

Shower

Max loves to take the evening shower in the garden. Although it´s sometimes a bit fresh already he is giggling and laughing and jumping... this is so so cute... I´m totally in love when I watch him!

Missy is walking up and down in the garden... it´s so sweet how much she loves her new ability!

Omi and Opi

... it´s their joint birthday today. Max and opi were working and playing the whole morning while omi was en route. In the afternoon we had coffee and cake and then we went out for dinner.

Fun

Max and Lina love to play together before bedtime. During the day they are often playing alone but in the evening they love their mutual society. 

They are cuddling and kissing, giggling and playing wildly... of course Max is a bit wilder than Missy ;-)... for the moment.

Lina is not afraid at all to crawl through the tunnel... Max refused it until he was two... but he is loving it now a lot! I´m sure she took Max as a good example for being courageous! 

 

Lina is able to crawl onto the sofa... she managed it yesterday in the living room for the first time and practiced today in Max´ room. Now it seems like it is no problem for her at all!

Hiking

We had a fabulous day in the mountains. Walking and enjoying the nature and fresh air was such a recovery. The children loved it and had great fun. 

There was an anually festival as well. Lots of people come there together to visit the church, have fun, there is live music, activities for children, candy stands... like on a fair. 

The countryside is so beautiful and it was perfect for Max to run around wildly, throwing stones and being independent. 

Cows and horses are allowed to roam around free... Max was very fascinated to come so close to them and Lina was staring at them too... cute!

Lina was very hungry and of course refused her mash... so there was no other choice but nursing on the cow pasture. You are such a wonderful little girl... I love you... never forget!

We visited a friend of us who has a  hut on the mountain... it´s such a lovely place... cows and horses around, a wonderful view and... silence (of course not today!).

The playground is incredible. There are so many cool activities for kids... long slides, climbing towers, ropes, underground tunnel systems... so great!

I was so happy about this smashing day with my loved ones! 

We are going there very soon again because Max said yes, yes, yes when we asked him if he liked the mountain! Sweet darling!

By the way: my big boy is 33 months today! First I wanted to write a post about his milestones but I had so many other pictures to share. So I´m going to write his special post... 33/34 months... another time! I love you Max... just to let you know, Sweetheart!

Moment

I read something this morning which made me think about me and my nature... something like... "Enjoy the doing more than the has to be done!"

It´s really hard to enjoy every moment when there are hard and long days with two little ones and lots of things to handle... dressing, cooking, washing, playing, cleaning, tidying up and so on.

But after I read these lines and spent time with my sweeties in the garden it was so easy... observing Max while he was astonished by a tractor working on the nearby field, observing little Lina while trying to drink out of the waterhose, playing with them in the sandpit, having snack together... I didn´t think about what had to come next and this was relaxing. And confessed... we had a calm day. 

This is definitely something I now have to bring to my mind as often as possible... especially when I´m stressed because of the naptime, preparing food, taking them to the bathroom, evening care, bedtime, playing...

At some time... when I will look back... I want to remember Max cuddling with me and taking my face into his hands before falling asleep... and not that I was stressed because he would come out five times before he finally could sleep. I want to remember Lina pushing the mash out of her mouth and making the sweetest face ever... and not that I was stressed about her food refusal and dirty clothes. I want to remember Max having so much fun in the bath tub and washing his garbage truck... and not that I was stressed about the wet floor. I want to remember my children playing noisily and wildly in the living room, laughing and giggling and not that I was stressed because of the fuss they made.

It´s important... the most important thing I learned and became aware of the last time!

I love you so much Max and Lina... I want to keep every single tiny detail in my mind. I don´t want to forget anything and though I don´t want to be too busy documenting both your lives and forget to enjoy you being yourselves!

Grumpy girl

Lina had a bad afternoon. I cannot exactly say why but I think she is struggling with teething again and there´s on other thing... she doesn´t accept that she is not able to do everything on her own. Since Lina learned to walk... and she is really good alreday... she would like to manage all and is more than ever annoyed when she falls down.

Babygirl strolled through our garden with a carts. Unfortunately it was too easy and she fell down very often. So opi put some heavy stones inside and this worked wonders. Now she could walk much better... but nevertheless her mood was already bad!

Sleep

I´m so very happy... my boy is having daily naps again. It´s not only because I´m glad there is some silent time but more likely because he has really good mood when he gets up.

On the photo above my sweet boy is observing Miss Lina because I told him that she is not able to climb stairs yet. I told him we had to take care that the garden gate was always closed. But he necessarily had to cut the lawn and to open the gate :-) But this greatest big brother took care the very whole time and called for mama every time Lina moved towards him! This was so lovingly!

Good time together with my babies!
