Books

I love it when Miss L. sits down and takes books on her own... she is highly concentrated then and searching exactly for things she likes. At present... a pink car, a pink dress and every horse she can find.... hm?

Found Max again staring at the page with the numbers. He has a little weakness for counting... oh I´m so proud listening to his sweet voice listing the numbers from 1 to 10.

Wii

Father and son tried out a car racing game on the Wii for the first time today... lots of fun for both of them! I´m sure daddy was very looking forward to the time he could do such special activities together with his boy!

Lina has a very strange habit at present... she is slightly knocking her head against a wall or something else and listening to the noise this makes... together with her cautious face and her squinting eyes this gives a hilarious moment!

Very first snow

After waking up, the children discovered the snow fallen during the night. they were staring right out of the window and were so fascinated. Good daddy was going outside at once bringing them a cup of fresh snow to lick... eeek!

Then we all went outside to enjoy the... unfortunately little amount of white beauty. Max would have loved to build a snowmen... but I´m sure this will be possible the next weeks!

Lina liked the snow a lot... althoug she had little troubles to move with the thick clothes and big shoes!

Babygirl at 14 months

An enormous progress has taken place since Lina turned one... she is such a cheeky little monkey... I could laugh with her the whole day. Her gesture and facial expressions are hilarious... this is simply the cutest about her!

Likes

• walking, running, climbing... just moving... you never sit still
• babbling, giggling and pulling faces
• making fuss and mess, especially throwing everything out of cupboards, boxes or shelves... then you are going on searching for the next stuff
• eating solids with your long, thin fingers
• preferentially drinking out of Max´cups (btw: he hates that!)
• peas, fried chicken, apple and banana, raisins, sweets, cauliflower, carrots, corn, and fortunately mash too... but most of all: breastfeeding!
• doing gymnastics while breastfeeding and holding mama´s  breast with your teeth then... ouch!
• giving kisses with your wide opened mouth
• torturing the cat
• you are definitely a dancing queen
• wearing dresses... or was it mama who loves that!?
• browsing through books
• playing with your animals, with blocks, with Max´wooden screw box
• bathtime and drinking the water with or without soap
• hugging, caressing and kissing your dolls and strolling around with them in your prams 
• keeping hats or headbands on but only if you put them on yourself

Dislikes

•  wearing hats put on by mama
• being bossed by your big brother
• wet diapers and a cold bottom especially during the night
• sleeping through the night without any interruption
• being firmly held
• getting diapers changed and being dressed... because you have to keep still then
• getting boundaries shown
• your crying doll Emma you got from great-grandmother (battery had to be removed at once)

 Gloves

Max let his gloves on for the very first time today. Although it was not that cold  he obviously felt more comfortable with them on. He was helping daddy changing wheels. Oh my... he is cuteness!

Poor, poor cat

Our cat spent the whole summer outside... now that she is sleeping on the children´s playcarpet again... my two little ones have many opportunities to torture her and keep her from relaxing! They are lucky to have a very, very gentle pet...

Busy day

The foggy, drizzly morning started with a walk. Max just wanted to help opi with digging and shoveling... and Miss L. joined us going to the horses.

btw... yes, it was cold!

Around midday Lina and I had to go to the swimming lesson. It worked much better today. My girl enjoyed the water, was splashing around, giggling and babbling.

This time we started with the first attempts to dive. First she was a teeny tiny bit shocked but went on with having fun at once. We are practicing this every time now... at the end we get professional photoshoots done under water. Looking forward to this...

Afterwards Lina had an appointment at the doctor´s. This was not the best time. She was whining quite a lot because she is not keen on being firmly held... in addition she had to get a vaccination too... too much then! Oh, how sorry I felt for her... no possibility to explain this all to her. I just could caress and kiss her and sing into her ear... hope she wasn´t crying because of this, haha!

I missed my darling son so much... it´s strange to be apart from him for hours... we are not used to this... and confessed... I definitely don´t need and want this!

A surprise visit

The children had an entertaining morning playing together with their lovely friends... mama was a bit exhausted because of the emerged fuss but that´s it... when kids have fun! And that´s good... so mama has to simmer down and relax, what do you think!?

Stroll

To enjoy the last warm sunrays we decided to go for a fall walk... taking snacks and the camera with us and visiting the lovely place with the deers. 
You my darlings love being there so much because you can move around there without being constantly told to take care of this and that. Such a relief for you, isn´t it?!

 

Needless to say you my babies were so very content and balanced... you both had best mood and we all could enjoy this wonderful autumn day together!

Sports arena

There was a new opening of our local ski jumping, cross-country skiing and ski scooter area today. It´s very close to our home so we could walk over to this place joined by omi and opi. Daddy is on a short trip to Munich but returns tomorrow. Max was taking his motorcycle and Lina fell asleep in her pram very soon.

The weather was awesome... it was such a wonderful day with my babies!

Ohhh... these eyes

Got this shot today while Max was relaxing on the couch drinking his chocolate, watching tv a little bit... he is doing this nearly every day while I´m upstairs with little Lina, nursing and bringing her to bed. Naps are not needed any more (he says) and so the little rest on the sofa is better than nothing.

On her own

The times, Miss L. is playing and busy right on her own, come more often every day. I love observing her... she is so cute... and sometimes quite funny because she begins to get tantrums as well when she is not able to cope with something, haha!

Swimming lesson #2

Lina is definitely not as keen on the swimming pool as her big brother was. She is not crying but some kind of restless and flouncing all the time. It´s hard for my girl to lay back and relax, to let mama guide and hold her. Being on her back or getting water in the mouth are not the favorites... but learning to dive is connected with water in the face, hm? It´s interesting but having her daily bath, washing her face and head is no problem at all. 
But I think it was a bit annoying for Lina that I have to keep her close and tight in the water... she constantly wants to do everything herself and to "swim" away. 
The only chance to calm her down and to stop rowing around is when I sing songs into her ear. Then she is listening and cooperative for a few moments...

Growing, growing, growing

Due to the fact that my boy´s birthday lies ahead I´m browsing through his little baby pics quite often at present. Today I made some photos and could remember at once to have some comparisons... check them out... I´m still teary!

35 months

My sweet boy,

your 3rd birthday lies only one teeny tiny month ahead. I cannot believe! The moment I first met you comes to my mind at once... every time I look at you and see the cheeky, clever, beautiful, funny and smart toddler you are now.
You grew into such a wonderful little person I really adore and admire. Spending the days with you means having the greatest time, it´s fulfilling, exhausting, fantastic and sometimes... oh should I say... annoying... but just a little bit... and just when I don´t know how to cope with your tantrums, haha!

At present I´m preparing your birthday party and I´m looking forward to surprising you with so many things I know you like! The extensive birthday post telling about your development, skills and cheekiness is already written... partly... I´m sure you will love to read through all the lovely lines when you are old enough! 
Through my posts you will always know that you, sweet Lina and daddy mean the world to me!

There are not enough lovingly words 

to explain how I feel for you...

You are climbing onto everything.... the sofa, the highchair, the wooden tractor... you sit into boxes, baskets, the changing table... it´s so very funny. Fortunately you are not clumsy at all...

My little doll... oh how you make me laugh all day...  your behaviour and gesture are hilarious!
