Busy day

This day started with loads of homework and ended with... loads of work in the kitchen. Afterwards I had a nightshift. So guess who was tired like crazy!?

Fortunately omi came over to help me with the cooking and especially keeping the kids occupied. So did daddy... and this is anyway one of the most helpful things ever when you have much to do.

Everything went calmly and we all had an exhausting but lovely day.

Let the Preparations begin

Guess who was thrilled that he could decorate the tree together with daddy? ... and he did really well as we told him the tree had to be fabulous for the Christ Child to come!

Granny

Spent the afternoon with great-grandmother Anna. The children love to play in her living room as there are pretty much things to discover we do not have in our home. Simply... granny stuff. Old and awesome!

Had to say good-bye to our lovely cat this evening. She was very sick for a long time now and we could not wait any longer and see her suffering day after day. We decided to let her go...

You were a great, great and oh so beautiful cat. Stayed with us for the last 12 years, faithful and calm. Sometimes annoying too and behaving like a princess (that´s how we called you anyway) but nevertheless you had all our hearts.

We will deeply miss you!

Such a good mood...

 ... but tired then.

He loves his lego

I never thought he would be able to be occupied for such along time but now he is 4... which means he did change really a lot. He is calmer - except annoyed and disturbed by his little sister - and he is so very good at playing all by himself. Building cars a hundred times is definitely a favorite.

Ice skating

Max went with opi after kindergarden today for the very first time. We just tried out his equipment at home and he already was totally excited. I think Lina would have loved to join him but we wait till next year to bring her too.

Saint Nicholas coming home

Guess who was bursting with excitement when the door bell rang while playing in their rooms? I still hear the little feet stamping down the stairs running to the door...

 (Sorry for the bad, bad quality but I had to take this pic that quick before it was over, haha!)

So this evening was filled with singing songs, eating chocolate - too much of course - and trying out all new little toys. A car and a book for Max and tights and diapers for Lina´s doll... so happy these things made them happy too!

The morning

I took this pic when Max came home from kindergarden and told me how cool it was that Saint Nicholas was there this morning.

Confessed... I had to laugh because of the thought how confused the kids must be to be told about one Saint Nicholas and meeting him in the shooping center, in kindergarden and at home??? Hmmm?
