First day at work

The last four years were everything I always dreamed of. I got everything I always dreamed of.

Baby Max was born in November 2009 and waiting for him was the hardest thing I could imagine. Being a mother has always been my only desire and I felt incomplete without a baby.

Less than two years later - August 2011 - our princess Lina surprised us with her plan joining our family.

Going back to work one day was always on my mind but that this day would come that quick... incredible.

Anyway... I enjoy being back at hospital, caring for my pregnant women, the new mamas and so very fresh and yummy babys. Pregnancy, birth and babies bring joy to my life likewise. 

But going to the rooms were my babies were born, were I got to know them and spent the luckies moments of those first days was wonderful and a bit teary equally. I remember the feelings I had, I remember every single detail, I still remember all the smells and will remember how blissed I felt for the rest of my life.

Energy park

We discovered a cool fun park about all sorts of energy... produced with water, with a simple bike or produced by the sun. It was so very interesting and you both loved learning a lot. You were running from one section to the next with excited faces, highly concentrated and the best mood. 

My boy... you could not help but try out everything that had the feature to be moved. To observe the effects and results of your actions put such a brightness on your face. Oh how I loved your enthusiasm...

Letting off steam between all the learning lessons, ha!

Confessed... there was another boy who was on task all the time...

... finishing the day at the funfair nearby. Unfortunately the fuss was not what we all wanted and so you sweeties just took two rounds on the tractor and then we left. 

Guess who fell asleep in the car a few moments later?

My little princess´ 2nd Birthday!

 Nothing compares to the feeling of pride a parent has when he watches the baby grow up so wonderfully into a so great and lovely child!

This seems so unreal that your first wonderful birthday was already one year ago and your quick birth even one year more. 

Every little detail about your arrival is still in my mind and gives me the warmest feelings when I think about it. You make us happy every single day and I can not attach with words how blessed we feel to have you in our lives.

Your second birthday party had a  motto again and like you wanted it to be, we made this Monsters Inc. Party for our girl. When you first saw them on tv you were thrilled right away and fell in love with Sully, Mike and Boo at once. So... of course... even when it sounds a bit weird... you got your monsters for your day.

The decoration was quite costly as I didn´t want to miss anything. Fortunately I will not have to spend a lot for the following birthdays because the basic decoration was the most expensive one. So I had to find several platters, a beverage dispenser made of glass and lots of tiny bowls.

Max was very happy about the little gift we had for him too. Of course I don´t want this to be the norm that the other child gets presents as well... but I think I just made an exception this time, ha!
 

First I wanted to make the number "two" for her 2nd birthday but due to the fact that everything was so busy, stressful and exhausting I decided to make a banana sheet cake.... and it was so yummy!

I was unhappy about our photos this time and it was difficult to choose some really good ones. The lighting of the candles is such a dark one and turned out very bad. This is unfortunatly the only family portrait too as we didn´t have time to take some before the party started. 

Anyway... I think I have to reorganize this party thing the upcoming times as I can´t stand this special daysg being so fussy. I want to spend time with my children and not decorating and cleaning most of the day.

Part II

Little princess is having parties like a famous baby. A party a day takes your sorrow away... I think this is the way it is!

I simply love making this all for her... the decorating, the baking and all the visitors... although it´s exhausting too.

Missy got a supercute coat from her uncle. She put it on herself and went to the mirror right away. Unfortunately I missed this most adorable grin on her face as she looked at her from all sides.

2nd Birthday celebrations get started

It was such a joy to see Miss Lina with this yummy cupcake. She is not the biggest eater at all and so I´m truly happy even when she is nibbling heartly.

This girl of mine is still nursing with great passion and I still love those quite moments only belonging to us. When she is cuddling in my lap she is still and relaxed, totally enjoying and taking a break.

Whe Lina is in high spirits, sad, tired or hurt this is the best way to calm her down and energize.

Max asked a lot if it was only Lina´s birthday and when it would be his turn. I told him he has to wait until November and he was totally fine with this answer. We also had a talk about the decoration for his big day as I try to - really - avoid the obligate car one. I made different suggestions eg dinosaurs and he liked it. 

So I said: "Ok Max. So you want dinosaurs for your birthday? Can I make it?"
Max: "No mama... cars of course!"

Vow renewal

This evening we were celebrating the 30th wedding day of a lovely couple... hubby´s aunt and uncle. It was such a fun and romance party and we were happy they had invited the four of us. As sometimes it is pretty exhausting to join such events with two toddlers it was not this time. 

They had a drawing and toy corner for the children as there was suitable food too... in addition enough space and an anyway present noise and fuss so we were not prominent, haha!

We left the party when a storm was coming up but until then it was great and entertaining. Thank you for the invitation!

This boy was climbing on tree trunks and I could not help but recognize how grown up he is now... awww... baby come back!
