Out and about

Definitely no photographic masterpieces today but I love these snapshots anyway. Had a wonderful walk outside in the warm sun with omi and opi... who are supporting me incredibly since I got a bad diagnosis concerning my backpain!

Socks

You funny darling... you are addicted to clothes... indeed. You are putting socks on and off, caps and scarf, you are pulling up your trouser legs, slipping into jackets... and you are doing this perfectly. I´m sure you will be dressing yourself very, very soon!

Videos

Max wanted to watch tv this evening and so I turned on the videos of Max and Lina. They both were totally fascinated to see them on the screen... it was so sweet!

17 months

Just thought about writing another post about your neverending progresses, about your new abilities, about your developing personality... 

... but then I decided to give you this little letter instead...

My beautiful daughter, I was blessed with you...

You will never know how proud I am of all the things you do.

You came into my world, so tiny and so small...

And I was in awe at the wonder of it all.

Then you placed your little hand in mine...

There was no denying, my heart was yours 'til the end of time.

I have watched you through out the years, laugh, cry and grow...

And it is difficult to know, that someday I will have to let you go.

I just can't imagine, a day of my life without you...

Because you're a part of me and my love for you is true.

Biscuit

New machine

Daddy bought a new fryer for us... so we can make homemade french fries with little oil. Tried it out for dinner. Max and Lina loved them... they ate so much that Lina needed no mash and my boy no evening bottle for the first time!

Lina touched the cover (which is very warm) and told me "hot!" and "ouch!". First talking attempts!

Crayons

You found my very old crayons in the drawer which your mama used in elementary school... took the opportunity to play with the camera to take some awesome portraits of you! How beautiful and sweet you are!

Struggle

When I leave you just a few moments in your cot you will take off your sleeping bag at once... then you try to put it on again and become impatient soon... you funny little girl!

Theater

Max has a theater subscription and so we are going there every few weeks. This time it was called "Parole". It was represented by an italian couple who included ten words into a play accompanied by lovely music.

These two funny actors were talking and dancing and jumping and running and throwing kisses... it was just sweet. The children around were laughing out loud and were totally concentrated. First I thought Max would not be able to keep calm for nearly an hour but it turned out uncomplicated. 

At the end of the play all children were allowed to come onto the props and try out all the words sewn as symbols.

I´m happy I bought this subscription for my boy... he is completely thrilled and looking forward to going there again.

Lina was for a walk with daddy in the meantime but came in to join us at the end on the props. She was fascinated at once... definitely going to buy tickets for her too the next season.

Magazines

At present Max prefers journals in the evening instead of  his pillow books. I hope these journals will turn out boring soon...

Kiss my feet

Forgot to take a pic of my babies today. So I found my boy browsing through his magazines and little Lina sitting in the cot kissing her foot... she is too funny!

Love that she loves her doll Anna. She is calling her baby "Nanna" and she is carrying her all day long, wrapping her in blankets, wants her for the night and is grabbing for her when she falls asleep... and she is feeding her with cups and everything she is eating (and Lina is very, very jealous when I show her how to nurse Nanna at my boobs, haha!).

3 years and 2 months

Max,

now you start to insist that you are the big brother and Lina is little. You are telling her that she is not allowed to touch your "expensive model cars" or your iPhone (because it is expensive) or anything else that is obviously yours, haha! Or she is not allowed to eat your sweets, or get onto your chair, or take your water cup and so on. You are explaining to her all day long that she is still far too little for your world.

But... there are so many moments during the day you stop by to give your sister warm hugs and kisses. Sometimes she is not willing to be held tightly and starts whining... anyway... you have to show her your fondness.
I´m totally in love with you two and the way you love each other.  Just a few weeks ago I didn´t really see lots of together activities except sitting next to each other on the play rug. 

Since Lina became more and more like a toddler, started to communicate better every day, became more resourceful and cheekier it is much more fun for you to integrate her into your way to play. 

Observing you two is hilarious and heartwarming equally!

Likes:

•  coming to mama´s and papa´s bed in the middle of the night
• laughing with Lina
• riding your motorcycle or Lina´s car
• still... sweets
• your teeny tiny pocket cars and your "expensive cars"
• bathtime
• you sit on my lap and tell me with tears "Comfort me!"

Dislikes:

• waiting or hurrying up
• naps... except in the car
• pickled cabbage
• Lina taking your stuff
• sitting while eating

Freezing cold

Finally it stopped snowing but due to the cold the snow is not powdery any more. Nevertheless the children had fun with daddy in our backyard. Mama had to stay inside because of massive backpain.

But my loved ones came in soon to warm up and get yummy lunch...

Cannot believe that in a few months Max and Lina will sit in this sandpit in the heat...

Swimming

This was your favorite lesson sweet Lina. You got arm floats and could swim around without being held tightly by mama... and... you loved it! My freedom.loving babygirl! 

Pardon for the very bad quality but I had no DSLR with me...

Outside... you loved touching the snow and were completely thrilled! ... and I loved watching your fascinated face and your long fingers grabbing the snow cautiously... you are beyond cuteness!

Paper airplane

Opi built one for you and you both were playing tirelessly. Opi had to tell you about the different airports, about the planes taking off and landing, about the passengers getting on and off the planes... and you loved listening to him. Your favorite airport is Paris Charles de Gaulle... I still don´t know why? How you spell it, is simply perfect... clever little guy!

On skis... for the very first time

I´m bursting with pride... my babyboy was standing on skis today. I was a quite good ski rider when I was young so it´s important for me that my children are able to do it as well. Of course they need not be professionals but I want them to be able to ski safely.

Max got a helmet for christmas and was not very keen on putting it on... did it for a few seconds and refused then. So I thought it would be difficult to convince him to put it on for skiing. So I thought would be with the skiboots... but nothing.

In the morning... it was snowing heavily... I told him we would go outside to try out the new skiing gear. Fortunately Max was excited and cooperative. 

This was such a wonderful time midst snowfall and winter landscape...

Omi was entertaining Miss L. while Max was getting his skis on and going up the hill.

I was so happy that he liked it...

 

Opi was completely thrilled and dedicated and I think he hopes to get finally a professional skier as I refused to become one... he was directing tirelessly. Happily Max was too concentrated to listen and getting annoyed, haha!

 My sweet boy was very tired afterwards... and I think a wee bit proud of himself too!
