Holiday! We´re coming!
For weeks now we all are looking forward to our family trip to Croatia. Normally we are Italy tourists but to get some variety we decided to make a change.
So the plan was to go to Mali Losinj, one of the most beautiful islands in Europe... and indeed it is! We travelled with friends of us and their lovely children. This was really great, especially for Max, who enjoyed the company very much... even Lina did, by observing the toddlers and being entertained by them. Too cute!
The day started at 4 o´clock in the morning. This was my birthday today as well and to go on vacation with my loved ones was the best present for this occasion. We met all others at 5 o´clock and then we were straight on the way. The kids fell asleep very soon... and me too! Poor daddy ;-)
Unfortunately Max had to vomit on the way... the breakfast came back straight. I felt so sorry for him. But like always he was smiling even in this bad situation and forgot the mishap at once!
The two pictures below were taken on the ferry from Valbiska to Merag. I think this was a special adventure for Max who did not come out of wonder... of course he was totally amazed by all of the cars driving onto the ship. I loved observing him!
Miss Lina was a bit distracted by all of the new noises and could not stand the sunshine in her face while having lunch ;-) Nevertheless she was too thirsty not to nurse.
The crossing did not last very long and after going on by car we reached our hotel very soon. After having everything organized and putting away our stuff we strolled along the beach to a nearby restaurant and had yummy food there. Oh... this is going to be a delicious time here in Croatia!
It was really great to have started the day that early. So after having lunch we could even go to the pool. So much fun for our children!
Being en route with my lovely daughter was much less exhausting than I thought would be. She was so, so good... patient and totally relaxed. Only her voice is known very well now by all of us because she loved "singing" and screaming just for fun... the whole day... always... very loud!
The water wasn´t really warm but that was no obstacle for our toddlers. They had the best time of the day inside the pool!
To keep them outside then for warming up I read books with them. Max and Mia... aren´t they the cutest couple ever?
We had dinner in the hotel and afterwards our friend Michael took some birthday family portraits. Fortunately he was on holiday with us ;-) ... so we are lucky to have many, many beautiful, lovely and adorable photos of our babies and the four of us! Thank you so much!
Looks like a wonderful time! What a wonderful birthday gift- Happy Birthday to you!
AntwortenLöschenWhat lovely photos! It sounds like a wonderful trip. I can't wait to take my little one on the ferry. He loves boats and I'm sure he'll be amazed that we can drive aboard. The ocean is very cold here but he is never bothered. We can't keep him out of the water. Lovely post!
