Cutest siblings

Max is showing his sister lots of funny things and she is totally fascinated by him. Loves everything he is doing for and with her... 

Recently he showed her how to make babble noises with the lips....

... afterwards he needed some water by the reason of dry lips... and of course gave some to Lina too :-)

Big boy

My darling likes to drink out of a glass at present because he always wants to see what is inside everything. In the cups, in the nappies, in the potty,  in every container... he is now exlporing the details ;-)

Next vaccination

Lina had to get an injection today. Missy was good as always... weeping shortly, snug to mama and starting to nurse.

Farewell

Daddy left today. To see my two men saying goodbye was really sad. I´m sure Max will notice that papa is not here for a while but I´m trying to replace him as good as possible. 

In the afternoon they already had their first phonecall and Max was totally fascinated that papa is sitting in a plane. How cool!

Lina was sleeping in the meantime and I think she will be fine with papa´s absence. But papa... I think he will miss his loved ones very very much and will have a bit of heartache!?

Nevertheless we had a good time today. Had lovely visitors in the afternoon - a friend of mine with her cute babygirl Emilia. The children played together and we tried to have coffee and cake and a talk. It was such a good time after an incredibly long time we haven´t seen each other.

By the way... talking was a bit difficult ;-)

Evening care was no problem at all. Both babies were so good and I´m sure they enjoyed it.

Miss L. is no more sitting in the bath tub... getting on all fours and straighten herself up is the most important.

Max is taking his daily bath only together will the garbage truck... washing it again and again.

Sweethearts... thank you so much for supporting mama! Fortunately I have the best children in the whole world!

Car museum

Continuing our trips, we visited a museum with very old cars and motorbikes this afternoon. My boy was strolling around and looking at the cars like a man. This was so cute! Uncle Florian, daddy´s brother joined us today and took so many lovely pictures.

By the way: we are very sad about the fact that daddy is leaving tomorrow for a one week holiday to Greece. He is going with his office colleagues... hope he will have a good and relaxing time there.

Nine months in - Nine months out

LOVELY LINA,

I couldn´t be any prouder when I look at you and see the little babygirl you have become. You make our all world so much happier and brighter... with your beautiful face and smile, with your giggles and laughters.

Observing your progresses is so much fun even if there are hard times as well. When you get new teeth or when you are going through a development stage, time is exhausting both for you and us.

Happily you are such a sunshine... hardly whining and very rarely crying... just the sleep or playing on your own is a challenge then.

It´s just impossible to list everything I love about you... but nevertheless there are some special things. 

I love the way you are waiting in your cot in the morning with the largest smile ever. I love the way you hold my breast and stroke my skin while drinking. I love the way you curl your little nose. I love your eyes following me when I´m busy and you have to wait. I love your annoyed sound when waiting lasts too long. I love those funny beautiful teeth you got. I love your belly button which connected you to me. I love your giggles when I´m tickling your feet.

Sweet darling, you make me happy every single moment...

Minimundus

In the afternoon we - omi Irmi joined us today - made a trip to the capital... visited Minimundus, it´s a miniature world near a large lake. So you can go aroung the world in just one day ;-)

About 150 of the most beautiful models of buildings, ships and trains from all over the world are presented there. From the Taj Mahal to the Eiffel Tower, from the Great Wall of China to the Basilika of Saint Peter. Simply great!

Afterwards we strolled through the nearby Europe park. This is such an astonishing area... a landscape like a dream!

Nap for mama

Miss L. has such a lovely stage at present... full throttle the whole day, short nap, worst night sleep. Due to this I´m tired. Fortunately she is not whining but because of the lack of sleep she is not in the mood to entertain herself and wants mama to play with her.

When daddy came home today he suggested to go for a walk with the kids and mama could go on the sofa :-) So she did... and papa took the lovely pic for today!

Back pack

Lina was sitting in the back pack for the first time today. Up to this point she only knew the wrap or the sling. Fortunately she liked it at once. It was an incredible support for her curiosity. Sat inside, observing daddy while lawn mowing and did not move one time... just staring and enjoying!

Good girl... we had to check this out because of the adventure tour continuing this weekend :-)

No

Sweet Max is not the biggest fan of the word "no" at present. Trying out how far he can go and at which point mama stops being patient is his top game. All in all we have similar discussions every day...  Max wanting sweets, refusing to tidy up or his nap strike.

Happily most of the time he is easy to handle but when he is freaking out... well then... Hooray!

No matter... I love you anyway!

Love

It´s this face I found in the morning when Lina had to wait in her cot while I was busy and then came back to take her out. She was strolling around in her bed, in between times entertained by her lovely brother bringing her toys and kissing her hands... and patiently waiting to be picked up.

I couldn´t love this little person more even if I tried...

En route with daddy

Mama was away in the afternoon and so papa and Max decided to have some special "men-fun" together. They went to the nearby tractor dealer to take a closer look.

It´s funny... but although tractors are Max´ favs he was still too cautious to step on. 

But today he did it. Took seat and enjoyed it... no more fear! Good boy!

Mama is endlessly proud of your progresses! Love you dear!

Rain

The warm days are gone and bad weather is back. Nevertheless my darling goes for walks with opi. Just putting on his raindress is no fun. He totally refuses and runs away but when it´s on he is alright and no more whining... so I think Max only wants to see how I react... maybe!?

 

Change

Lina made such a massive development the last two weeks. She is able to sit now, to crawl - on all fours and moving forward on the belly - able to straighten herself up, waving and is participating in everything she is interested in... and that is really everything :-)

Only four days and Lina has nine months full.  Hope to find a good idea for a picture called "nine months in and nine months out"!?

Nap strike

Max doesn´t like his nap any more and is quite loud before falling asleep. He is singing, calling for mama or papa, calling for special cars, water or just screaming and waiting if somebody would release him.

His endurance is incredible and after a very long time he starts to cry and because it´s impossible for me to hear this for a while I go and take him out.

The result was that we decided to bring Lina to the grandparents next to us for having her nap at the same time. So she can enjoy the silence and sleep more than ten minutes ;-)

My boy is so busy with playing, running, discovering things, learning and walking that it´s totally mysterious for me how he can resist the possibility to sleep. But... that´s children!

Bad mood and fatigue is starting in the late afternoon. An exhausting time for all of us begins.

But everything is different at present... Max has his naps again... not every day but in between times.

Exactly this face I want to see after my darling had his necessary rest...

Little Lina discovered our music box today. She had lots of fun trying everything out. Very sweet!

Zoo

Starting our country tour today! The zoo near our home was the first destination. Such a lovely time... Lina was enjoying the tour so much and Max was just amazed and talking, asking, talking and asking. I could eat him when he is chattering all the time!

140/366 - 19. May 2012

City tour

Today we decided to buy a special card which allows free admission to more than one hundred of destinations for natives and you can go there as often as you like. Now we are a bit forced to go on tours with the children :-) We think it´s very important - especially for Max - to learn a lot about the country he is living in and to have more variety in daily life.

The card includes access to mountain roads, zoos, museums, grottos, trails and many, many more. Martin and I haven´t been to most of the places as well. So we start tomorrow and work us through the booklet till autumn.

I´m really looking forward to many adventures with hubby, Max and Lina!

In the afternoon we had an extentively walk through our city. We wanted to climb a church steeple but unfortunately we had Lina in the stroller and forgot the back pack or wrap. But there were lots of other wonderful things to discover for Max and at the end we sat down for an ice cream.

Such a nice aftenoon spent with my loved ones! Wonderful!

Difficult decision

I took so many lovely pictures today so it´s really hard to decide which one to choose. To take just one picture a day is nearly impossible!

• Shopping in the afternoon - on the way home both babes fell asleep in the car at once. Look at those gorgeous photos of Max... two and a half years between them... Oh... my heart is melting!

• Little Lina is sitting in the big carseat now. She really likes it... support for her curiosity... but not this time!

• Back home - Max is still tired because mama had to wake him up after sleeping in the car for three hours!

• Finally Miss L. is able to reach our wonderful library on her own!

• Lina loves her corn snack - while she was eating, her brother was playing peekaboo with her. This love... between them is heartwarming, awesome... just perfect!

Italy

Abbiamo trascorso l'intera giornata in Italia. E 'stato bello!

It´s wonderful how lucky we are to live near to a country that totally reflects the summer and holiday feeling. Strolling around and along the beach, feeling the fresh air coming from the sea, eating yummy pizza and gelati is of course one of the most relaxing changes of scenery.  

The children were good as always, sleeping on the drive down and enjoying the family time there. So I think it´s not necessary to write an extensively post... I just share our most wonderful activities and impressions! Enjoy!

Time spent with the family is just the best! I love you all so much!
